Wildlife without limits

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's signature safari destination and one of Africa's great wildernesses. More than 14,750 square kilometres of open grassland, river country, woodland, and kopjes create a remarkable stage for wildlife year-round.

Follow the rhythm of the plains on a private game drive. Depending on the season, you may watch a million wildebeest move across the ecosystem, find cheetahs hunting in the morning light, or settle beside a waterhole as elephants and giraffes come to drink.

What makes the Serengeti special

  • The Great Wildebeest Migration and calving season
  • Exceptional lion, leopard, and cheetah sightings
  • Quiet sunrise drives across the central Seronera valley
  • Remote northern and western landscapes
  • Balloon safaris over the plains at dawn
  • Easy pairing with Ngorongoro and Tarangire

Best time to visit

June to October is a popular dry-season window for clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and concentrated wildlife around water. January to March brings the wildebeest calving season in the southern plains. April and May are greener and quieter, while the migration moves through different regions during the year rather than following a single fixed route.
