Summit Africa's highest peak

Mount Kilimanjaro rises to 5,895 metres above sea level and offers one of the world's great trekking experiences. The climb passes through several distinct climate zones, from lush rainforest and open moorland to a stark alpine desert and the glaciated summit slopes.

You do not need technical mountaineering experience, but a successful summit depends on steady preparation, sensible pacing, and enough time to acclimatize. Our experienced guides lead small groups with careful attention to safety, mountain meals, porter welfare, and the conditions on the trail.

Choose your Kilimanjaro route

  • Machame Route for dramatic scenery and strong acclimatization

  • Marangu Route with hut accommodation
  • Rongai Route for a remote northern approach
  • Umbwe Route for experienced trekkers
  • Private departures tailored to your pace

Best time to climb

January to March and June to October are the most popular climbing windows because of generally drier trail conditions. The mountain can be climbed year-round, but weather changes quickly at altitude. Adding an acclimatization day is one of the best ways to improve comfort and summit prospects.
